In short: there is one address, and a person reads it. Tell us what Ownplate got wrong, what it wouldn't do, or what you want done with your data, and we will check it against the source rather than guess at it.
1. Write to us
No ticket number, no form with nine required fields. An email is enough. If it concerns a specific product, the barcode and the country you bought it in will get us to the answer fastest.

2. What to write to us about
- A product, additive or reference value we have wrong. Send the barcode and what you think is off. We check it against the published source and correct the scoring input if it is wrong.
- A scan that failed. A barcode Ownplate could not read, or one it read and returned unknown for. Both are useful to us, and they are different problems.
- Subscriptions and billing. Questions about the free trial, the monthly or annual plan, or a charge you did not expect.
- Privacy and your data. Access, correction or deletion requests, and anything else covered by the privacy policy.
- Accessibility. Anything in the app that is hard to read, hard to reach or hard to operate. We would rather hear it than not.
- Press and partnerships. Same address; say so in the subject line.
3. What we cannot do
Ownplate is an educational tool for reading labels. It is not medical or dietary advice, it does not diagnose anything, and we cannot tell you whether a food is right for your condition. Anyone managing a health condition, and anyone with a diagnosed allergy, should speak to a qualified professional.
Where a declared allergen is concerned, the printed pack is always the authority — not Ownplate, and not us over email.
4. Read more
Most questions are already answered on one of these pages:
- Data Sources & Attribution — every dataset Ownplate reads, who publishes it, under which licence, and how each one becomes part of a score.
- Privacy policy — no accounts, no advertising or cross-app tracking, history and lists kept on your device and in your iCloud, and data never sold.
- Terms of use — subscription terms, the explicit “not medical or dietary advice” clause, and the law that governs them.
